John Harrison
John Harrison trained in the late 1960s as a Physical Education (PEd) teacher and taught in Sheffield. On entering the RAF in 1970, he spent a number of years as a PEd Officer responsible for sport, fitness training and survival techniques. He spent 2 years commanding the RAF’s Outdoor Activity Centre in Scotland and has led numerous major expeditions to the European Alps, Africa and the Himalayas. In the mid 1980s he was seconded to review physical education training in the RAF, culminating in a complete overhaul of the system. He conceived and introduced the RAF fitness and health strategy. His latter career was spent dealing with policy issues interspersed with tours on stations where he was responsible for support functions.He obtained a 1st class honours degree from the Open University in systems, management and health education and sees learning as a life long experience. He is passionate that the youth of today are given the very best educational opportunities regardless of their background and believes that pupils’ aspirations should be boundless. To aspire for better can be the driving force of motivation. |

Tim Rounce
Tim has spent his working life in Estate Agency, initially in Cromer and then Norwich, Sheringham and finally King’s Lynn. Tim owned his own Estate Agency and Letting Business for over 20 years before retiring. He is therefore well versed in management, negotiations, staff matters, contracts and financial budgeting. Tim was born and raised in Norfolk and has a vested interest in the area and local education. Tim spent 3 years as a Governor at South Wootton Junior School whilst it was grant maintained and is active in the local community. |

Derek Stringer
Derek has been a Member of the Trust since its inception. He stood down as Chair of the Board in September 2020. Previously business sector director at Mars Inc, Derek set up his own management consultancy firm in 1996 working with multi-national clients such as Unilever West Africa, Nestlé Malasia and Diageo Western Europe. Derek has two daughters and one son all of whom were educated in schools which are now under the Trust family. Both his daughters are teachers; his son has pursued a commercial career in fast-moving consumer goods, thereby following in his father’s footsteps. |

John Williamson
Wing Commander John Williamson MSc, BSc (Hons) RAF is a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force with over 20 years’ experience. He has served numerous operational, procurement and staff tours in the UK and abroad. His last post was establishing and commanding a front-line Wing responsible for delivering direct support to operations across the world. |
